Now a few days ago, we ran an article quoting Digitimes about Viewsonic Windows 8 Tablet availability.
The Digitimes article had (still has) the opinion that (quote)
ViewSonic plans to launch Windows 8-based tablet PCs in the Taiwan market in the second quarter of 2012 at the earliest.
Of course that made no sense based on the current Windows 8 Development timeline so we slammed it (and Viewsonic) in our article.
Well this afternoon a spokesperson from Viewsonic reached out to Windows8update.com to clarify.
Their exact quote.
"ViewSonic expects Windows 8 in the market the second half of 2012, not the second quarter, and the company is working on a Windows 8 tablet solution to hit the market in the same timeframe."
So there you have it folks, Windows 8 is expected sometime in the latter part of 2012.
