What is a Windows 8 Developer Preview?
A Developer Preview is the distribution of software code, documentation, and support materials to technical experts and developers. this typically happens PRIOR t o the release of a software Beta.
A Developer Preview is typically called a pre-beta version of the software.
Windows 7 also had a developer preview on October 8, 2008. It's pretty certain based on the success of that release that Windows 8 will have that as well.
